Sewing Clothes - Series 101

Service Description

This series of classes is packed full of sewing knowledge: -- Learn about seam allowances -- Learn the basics about fabric types -- How to read patterns -- How to cut patters and fabrics -- How to construct clothes We will be making a pair of PJ Pants and a Skirt. This class is useful for men too, even if they don't wear skirts - think of your mom, sister, or friend. These make great Christmas gifts (it's just around the corner!) A supply list will be provided after the purchase of the class series. Supplies include patterns and fabric and are not included the price of the class. Sew Happy Studios carries a limited selection of fabrics and the patterns. It is recommended that you purchase your fabric in advance so you can prewash it prior to the first class. This will allow any shrinkage before sewing the clothes together. Basic sewing machine knowledge is needed. We will provide an introduction to sewing class prior to the class series if needed. Class 1 - Sewing Terminology and Cutting Pattern/Fabric Class 2 - Cutting Pattern/Fabric and Sewing Pajama Pants Class 3 - Sewing Pajama Pants Class 4 - Cutting Pattern/Fabric Skirt Class 5 - Sewing Skirt Class 6 - Sewing Skirt Class size is small at 4 people per class. Introductory price of $125 for all 6 classes, this price will NOT be offered again! * You can bring a machine if you own one and we'll help you get started with it (it must be in working order) * We have machines you can use if you don't own one Please note, this is a non-refundable class fee. Note - It is possible that the start day may be pushed back by one week to November 2nd depending on participation, this will be communicated.
